Announcement: "My First Horror Movie" Collaboration w/ Sledgehammer Horror!

One of my favorite things about being a content creator is connecting with other people that have similar interests, and I’ve been very fortunate to have met several awesome people from the horror film community along with the rock music industry over the last year or two since starting Dead Noise. As someone who’s used to interviewing people and being the one asking all the questions, it’s always an interesting experience having the tables turned and being the one who’s being interviewed instead.

A YouTube channel I’ve become a huge fan of over the past couple years is Sledgehammer Horror, hosted by Ken and Ashley Sledge, who create all sorts of videos like movie reviews, watch-along commentaries, top ten rankings, etc. Something that sets them apart from other channels is the fact that they’re consistently involving the community by collaborating with other creatives, with perhaps the most popular example of that coming from their “My First Horror Movie” series.

I recently had the opportunity to be a guest on a “My First Horror Movie” episode, and had a super fun time talking with Ken about one of the greatest movies ever made (spoiler alert, it’s Jaws) and revisiting how it felt to watch it for the first time. Having been a fan of the work that the Sledges do, along with the kind of people that they are, it was an honor to be invited on to their show and I hope anybody that watches the episode has as much fun watching it as we had while recording it!
